Napoli reminds me of an ancient tree, full of dead branches and new growth. This city teems with life amidst the ruins of the past. In the historic centro there are churches and buildings that are centuries old, barricaded shut with rusting iron, weeds sprouting from pockets of dirt on marble stairs. Check by jowl with these relics are equally ancient structures bustling with life.
