Back through the rainy season morning of Mt Lavinia, we headed for our last full day in Colombo.
From the station walkway there is a view of the Indian Ocean and the rainy season clouds.
Modern Colombo is a vibrant, frenetic city, crushed with traffic and noise.
Colombo is also a city of peace and beauty if you are willing to look for it.
And food, a wonderful city of spice. This last night was Khottu "chop-chop" and pork curry at our little joint up the street.
So it is goodbye to the little green room in Mt. Lavinia and hello to Galle and the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Today is our first cross-country train ride! Ciao for now!
