Lonely Beach

Sometimes you just have to throw off culture and history and go for the oblivion of a quiet little beach.  Marakoliya Beach is the last beach in a line heading south from the bay at Tangalla.  It is hot and quiet and sandy.  What else does one need in a beach?

We tuk-tuked into Lonely Beach, found that they did have a bungalow and checked into our nicest digs since arriving in Sri Lanka.  Everything one wants in a bungalow was there:  Mosquito netting, high ceilings, lots of windows and doors for ventilation and a balcony overlooking the lagoon.

Loneyl Beach is, well, sort of lonely.
And its hot here.  "Rainy" season or not.  Hot.  Sticky hot.  Hot.

A tropical Rainbow.   Or Regenbogen if you prefer.

Oh, and they have sunsets here too.

And so another day passes.  Tomorrow will be very very lazy unless I am very much mistaken.
